Parent Surveys & Polls
Ask parents a question and get a countable answer — single-choice, multi-choice, or rating, with audience targeting, optional anonymity, and CSV export.
Deciding a trip date or gauging satisfaction by reading replies in a group chat is guesswork. You get answers from the loudest third of parents and no way to count them.
Polls give you a structured question with structured answers. Results aggregate live, you can target a specific group, and you can export the raw responses when you need them for a board meeting or a funding application.
What is included
Three question types
Single-choice, multiple-choice, and rating scales — enough to cover scheduling decisions, preference questions, and satisfaction measurement.
Audience targeting
Send a poll to the whole facility or to one group, so you're not asking pre-school parents about nap-room arrangements.
Optional anonymity
Flag a poll as anonymous when honest answers matter more than knowing who said what — satisfaction and staff-feedback questions in particular.
Live aggregate results
Watch results build as parents respond, rather than waiting for a closing date to count.
CSV export
Export responses for your own analysis, reporting, or records.
Why it matters
Decisions with a number behind them
'Most parents seem to prefer the later slot' and '31 of 44 parents preferred the later slot' are very different inputs to a decision — and only one of them survives a parent challenging the outcome afterwards.
Satisfaction measurement you own
Larger platforms outsource parent satisfaction surveying to a third-party service, which means another vendor, another subscription, and parent data leaving your control. Polls are built in, so satisfaction data stays inside the same GDPR boundary as everything else.
Frequently asked questions
Can parents answer anonymously?
Yes, when you flag the poll as anonymous. Use it where honest answers matter more than knowing who said what — satisfaction questions in particular tend to get more useful responses this way.
What question types are supported?
Single-choice, multiple-choice, and rating scales — enough to cover scheduling decisions, preference questions, and satisfaction measurement.
Can I export the responses?
Yes, as CSV, for your own analysis, a board report, or a funding application.
Can I send a poll to only some parents?
Yes. Polls target the whole facility or a specific group, so you are not asking pre-school parents about nap-room arrangements.
Do I need a separate survey tool as well?
No, and that is part of the point. Larger platforms outsource parent satisfaction surveying to a third-party service, which means another subscription and parent data leaving your control. Polls are built in, so responses stay inside the same GDPR boundary as everything else.
Can I see results as they come in?
Yes, results aggregate live rather than only at a closing date.
Can I ask more than one question in a poll?
Polls are single-question by design, which keeps response rates high. For a longer questionnaire, send a short sequence rather than one long form.
Can staff answer polls as well as parents?
Audience targeting decides who receives a poll, so you can survey staff or families depending on what you are asking.
Are anonymous responses really anonymous?
When a poll is flagged anonymous, responses are not attributed back to individuals in the results.
Can I collect free-text feedback?
Polls are structured-answer only. For open-ended comments, the feedback workflow lets parents submit free-text feedback which admins triage through new, in review, resolved, and dismissed states, with an email reply.
Can I re-run the same poll next term?
Yes, create a new poll with the same question and compare exports across periods.
