Does this use QR codes or a scan at pickup?
No. Verification is by the staff member who knows the family, against the authorised list. QR-based pickup verification is parked deliberately — daycares generally verify by sight and rapport, and we would rather not add ceremony that nobody uses.
What about separated families and custody arrangements?
This is exactly what the feature is for. The authorised list plus a per-collection record means the facility can demonstrate what happened rather than rely on the recollection of whoever was on shift.
Can a one-off pickup by someone else be handled?
Add the person to the child's authorised list before the collection. The record then names them, which is the point — an undocumented exception is precisely the case that causes trouble later.
Is there a photo of each authorised guardian?
Guardian records carry the details parents provide. Photo identification on the pickup list is not currently part of the model.
Can staff see the list on a phone at the door?
Yes. KinderConnect is a progressive web app that works on a phone or tablet, including when the connection drops — which matters at an entrance at the far end of a building.
Is the collection record auditable?
Yes. Collection events and changes are written to the organisation's audit log with actor and timestamp.
How is this better than a signature sheet?
